About me
Jessica Grant, Ed.D. has taught in the Davis School District in Utah for seven years. She has a B.A. in Theater from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, an M.A.T. in teaching English and Theater from Johns Hopkins University, and an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University. In addition to her time in Utah, she has taught secondary in school districts in Maryland, Missouri, Texas, and Rhode Island. Prior to leaving the east coast, she taught a practicum class for student teachers at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and served as a supervising teacher in the field for those students. She has extensive experience in the classroom in the following:
Curriculum & Instruction; Secondary English and Theater Education; Behavioral Intervention; Technology in the Classroom; Personalized Competency Based Learning (PCBL); Project Based Learning, and; Communities of Practice. She has written and published, "Local Case Management Teams: A Case Study of a Whole Approach to ninth Grade Intervention for Students at Risk for High School Dropout" (available in ScholarsCrossing), and was a contributer on "Is the ASVAB ST Composite Score a Reliable Predictor of First-Attempt Graduation for the U.S. Army Operating Room Specialist Course?" (MILITARY MEDICINE, 177, 11:1352, 2012).
